Book the sauna. Bring a towel.
A cedar-lined sauna under the deck, with two claw-foot baths a few steps away. Sit in the heat and look out at grass, trees, and goats in the distance. Pick a time in the calendar, and we'll have it hot for you.
Sessions are 50 minutes and start on the hour. Guests can enjoy a free session for every day of their stay. Last session finishes by 9pm.

Heat is medicine
Five research-informed reasons to sweat with us. Have a read of Health and safety before joining us.
Heart and circulation
Heat trains your heart like exercise does. Regular sauna use is linked with better cardiovascular health.
Performance and recovery
Heat acclimation boosts plasma volume and cooling efficiency.
Stress and sleep
Sauna heat releases endorphins and lowers cortisol. The post-sauna cool-down mirrors the drop that helps trigger natural sleep.
Skin and muscle recovery
Better blood flow to skin and muscle may ease inflammation and support recovery after training, aided by heat-shock proteins.
Hormonal and menopause support
Sport scientist Dr Stacy Sims points to sauna as a way of training the body’s cooling system. During perimenopause, regular heat exposure may improve heat tolerance and thermoregulation, potentially making hot flushes feel less overwhelming.
Surely looking at goats in the distance while you sweat enhances all of the above.

The second person only costs $9. Bring someone.
Three steps, and none of them are complicated
Pick a time
Sessions run for 50 minutes and start on the hour. Every free slot shows in our calendar — book one and you'll get a confirmation straight away, up to six of you on the one booking.
We get it hot
It's warmed up and waiting before you arrive, somewhere between 75 and 90°.
Sit, rinse, repeat
Most people do a few rounds: fifteen minutes in, a cool rinse, back to the heat. One bath cold for a plunge, the other warm to finish.
A towel, something to drink, and a friend
- Your own towel — we don't supply them. Two is better: one to sit on, one for after.
- Something to drink from — a bottle or a cup. You'll want more water than you expect.
- Swimwear — the baths and sauna are outdoors.
- A friend, if you haven't done much sauna. It's more fun and it's safer.
Heat, water and hot stones
A short snapshot below. Please read the full health and safety guidelines before you book — you'll confirm you've read them when you open the calendar.
Underfoot
Wet feet, slow feet
Everything underfoot is wet. The concrete is anti-slip treated, but wet feet on any surface can still slip. Use the handrail and the step getting in and out of the baths, and walk it rather than dash it.
Heat
Go gently the first time
Step out whenever you've had enough — dizzy, queasy or simply done. No prizes for staying in. Cool down properly between rounds.
Health
Check first if you're unsure
Heart conditions, blood-pressure trouble, pregnancy — have a word with your doctor before you book. Please don't sauna after drinking.
Stove
Water on stones only
Ladle gently over the rocks — that's all the adjusting that's needed. Don't put any part of yourself on the hot stones, and nothing else on the heater or left drying on it.
A few things we ask of everyone
Always
Sit on your towel
Skin never goes straight onto the timber — it's a shared bench and the wood stays nicer for everyone. Shower before your first round if you can.
Neighbours
Quiet after dark
Sound carries in the garden, so keep voices and music low in the evening. Doors close at 9pm — leave it tidy and the lights off.
Children
Under-16s with an adult
Welcome with a parent alongside, shorter rounds, lower bench. Kids read heat differently — call it early on their behalf.
After
Leave it as you found it
This is a rubbish-free environment — whatever you bring in comes out with you.
Things people ask us
Is there a cold plunge?
No plunge pool, but fill a bath with cold tap water, or simply run a cold shower over yourself, and you'll still get the benefits of contrast therapy.
How many of us can come?
One to six. Six is cosy and lovely; four is roomy. Book one slot for the whole group rather than one each.
I've never used a sauna
Then bring someone with you, sit on the lower bench, start with ten minutes and come out when you feel like it. That's the whole technique.
What if plans change?
Cancel from your confirmation email up to 24 hours before to receive a refund. A bit of notice means someone else can take the heat we've already made.
